A customer texts you photos of the job. We draft a price range from your own price book. You look at it on your phone, fix it if you want, and nothing goes out until you say yes.
The drive out costs the same whether they buy or not.
"Leads send half the info: no address, no photos."
From a public r/AusPropertyChat thread
An hour out, an hour back, and their budget was half the job.
The usual version of it, in our words
Some visits were never going to turn into a job. You only find out after you've driven there.
Most people have no idea what a fence or a new driveway costs. A ballpark up front lets the ones who can't do it say so by text, and the ones who can are already expecting your number when you show up. You still go out to price the real ones. You just stop going out to find out the budget.
Try it
Four photo quotes are waiting on you.
Pick one. See what the draft read from the photo, which lines of your price book it used, and the range. Then approve it, change it, or ask for a visit. Nothing reaches the customer before you do.

Every draft shows the price book lines it used, so you can see where each number came from.

What the customer would get
What happens, start to finish.
The customer texts first. Every range is drafted from your price book, never a guessed number, and it waits for you.
A customer texts your business number about a job.
From your website, your Google listing, a yard sign, or a missed call that got a text back. They reached out, so replying to them is fine.
It asks for what's missing.
It asks for 2 or 3 photos, a rough size, and the address. If a photo is too dark or too close, it asks for another one before any draft gets made.
AI reads the photos and builds a draft from your price book.
It picks the lines that fit, like per foot, per square foot, gates, tear-out or a slope add, and keeps the range wide where the photo can't tell. It notes what it can't see, like framing under deck boards or roots under a slab.
You get a text with the draft.
Approve it as is, change the numbers, or say it needs a visit first. If you're on a roof all day, the customer gets one line saying you'll look at it tonight. It never guesses for you.
They get the range in your name, with a time to come look.
The text says it's a range, not a price, and that the real number comes after a short visit. Then it asks what day works. If they say it's more than they planned, you didn't spend a morning finding that out.
You show up to someone who knows the ballpark.
The photos, the draft and their replies are on file before you get there, so you price the job and skip the budget talk. Your quote follow-up takes it from there.
What the skipped drives could give you back.
This one is about time and truck cost, not new sales. Put in your own numbers.
Who it's for, and what we need from you.
A good fit
Jobs a photo says a lot about: fencing, decks, concrete and paving, gutters, siding, roof repairs, gates and railings.
You already price by the foot, the square or the piece, even if it's only in your head today.
You drive out to a lot of jobs that end at "oh, that's more than we thought."
Not for mechanical auto repair. A photo can't diagnose a car, and we don't quote repairs by text or phone.
Not a fit when hidden conditions set most of the price, like rot, water damage or a failing foundation. Those get "needs a visit."
Who it's built for
Your price book. A one-page list is enough: per foot or per square, minimums, add-ons, tear-out. If it lives in your head, we write it down with you in about an hour.
10 to 20 past jobs with photos and what you charged. We test the drafts against them before any customer sees one.
A texting number. We set it up and register it with the carriers. Texting starts once they approve it.
Your phone, a few taps a day. Every range waits for you.
QuotePriced from your numbers
It's part of Quote Closer Desk, and we switch it on once your quote follow-up is running. You can also add it to Every Quote Chased. We price it after the free audit.
What it won't do.
Better you hear it now than after the first odd draft.
It's a range, not a price.Every message says so, and says the real number comes after a visit. You still go out to price the jobs that fit.
Photos miss things.Rot under deck boards, roots under a slab, a buried line. The draft lists what it can't see, and you can always send "needs a visit" instead.
Size from a photo is rough. It asks for a length or a tape in the shot, and keeps the range wide when it isn't sure. If you'd rather run tighter, you edit it.
Nothing sends without your yes.Not the first range, not a changed one. If you don't get to it, the customer hears you'll look tonight, and that's all.
Texts only to people who texted you.Or who asked for a quote. No cold texts and no AI calls out. The assistant sounds natural in its first message.
It comes second. We set this up after your quote follow-up is live and working, so it has your price book and real jobs to check against.
Get it on its own, or inside a package.
Quote Closer Desk and Revenue Engine include it. On Every Quote Chased, it's an add-on.
No. Every range waits for your tap, and so does any change to one. If you don't get to it, the customer gets one line saying you'll look tonight.
Does the customer know it's an AI?
It writes like someone at your shop, and if anyone asks, it tells the truth. The range itself goes out in your name, after you've approved it.
Where do the numbers come from?
Your price book, line by line. You can see which lines it used on every draft. If a job doesn't match any line you gave us, it says so and asks you, instead of guessing.
What if the range is way off?
You change it before it goes, or send "needs a visit" instead. Before it goes live we run it on 10 to 20 of your past jobs, so you see how close it gets first.
What if they send a blurry photo?
It asks for another one, like a wide shot in daylight or one with a tape measure in it. No draft gets made from a photo it can't read.
Does it work with Jobber or Housecall Pro?
It runs on the texting line we set up. The photos and the approved range land on your phone and in the customer's record with us. Whether they copy into your quoting tool on their own is something we check on the free audit, and we won't promise it before then.
Who owns the photos and the price book?
You do. If you leave, you get your contacts file and your number ported to you. It's written into the agreement.
How many drives were just for a price?
Text Chase what you quote and how you price it. We'll tell you on the free audit if photo ranges would save you trips, and if your price book is ready for it.
